Preparing today's electronic technician for tomorrow's technology.
About Electronics Technology
NTI's Electronics Technology program requires students to complete 14 courses and an internship to qualify for graduation from the program. A 160-hour internship, which features on-the-job training, is offered at the end of each semester. Students who wish to continue their education in ET may transfer approved credit hours to NWACC to apply toward an A.A.S. degree in Electronics Technology.

A shortage of skilled technicians in the electronics industry has created considerable opportunity for employment. And, because of the high-tech technology used on today's equipment, there is an increasing demand for certified technicians. NTI's program trains qualified electronics technicians who have excellent career opportunities.

What You Will Learn
Through the Electronics Technology program at NTI, you will learn to: troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of electronic equipment, keep up with the latest in government and industry safety regulations, work with others, both employees and customers, to obtain and keep a good job in the electronics technology field.
Electronics Technology Objectives
- Safety procedures will be stressed to assist students with safe working practices.
- Students will learn the importance of human relations when associating with employers, peers, and customers.
- Students will learn to use an oscilloscope, multi-meter, transistor testers, and z-meters (to measure capacitors and inductors).
- Students will be expected to learn electronic components nomenclature.
- Students will be expected to learn circuit and component analysis and troubleshooting.
- Students will be expected to learn the use and control of electricity.
- Students will be expected to learn computer/robotic/PCL use in industry.
Length of Program: Two Semesters and One Summer Term
