This week? It's finals time! So go back in time with us to December 9th, where our Diesel Tech students guided by their instructors, worked on some end of the semester projects.
Braydon Fowler worked on the power steering cylinder of a "vintage" tractor. While Joe Parker (on the left) and David Kearney (on the right) were repairing a starter and a power steering pump.

**What's going on today at NWTI?**
Today, Electronics and Automation student **William Burton** was awarded a **$2,500 Show-Drive-Give Scholarship** from *Cruising the Ozarks*. This scholarship is built to champion students who are stepping boldly into the skilled trades—people with the drive to learn, the hands to build, and the heart to lead.
The selection committee evaluates applicants on academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement, while also weighing each student’s passion for technical education and their potential to make a real impact in the field.
William stood out. William earned it.

THIS PAST SATURDAY from 10am to 2pm it was Pet Wellness Expo time again! On NWTI's Main Campus, we welcomed all sorts of our animal friends. Dogs, cats, and more. Micro-chipping services were done, as well as pet vaccinations, and a drive-thru clinic.

WHAT'S GOING ON AT NWTI? Today we spotlight Diesel Truck Technology student Justin Matkins from Bentonville, working with instructor John Martin on fixing a leaky fuel injector pump on a first - generation, 1991 Dodge Truck. John says it's not unusual for trucks like this to sell for $40,000!
Student Justin Matkins from Bentonville was homeschooled. He said, "I always worked on engines; I was always around it. I enjoy working with my hands and figuring out mechanical problems and fixing them." Justin has just 4 WEEKS left before completing the program. Great job Justin!

This morning, we hosted our annual Veterans Day Breakfast — a tradition where we get together and honor the courage and sacrifice of our veterans. Seven NWTI instructors took part, representing a combined 53 years of service.
From sharing a hot breakfast to hearing stories of enlistment and a "tall tale" or two, it was a meaningful reminder that freedom is earned, preserved, and protected by those who serve.
