THE ARKANSAS SkillsUSA statewide competition is coming up April 13th - 16th in Hot Springs, AR. Winners at this level will get the opportunity to compete at the national-level! We will have contestants in the following categories: welding technology, HVAC, automotive repair, job interview, and diesel truck tech.

We're rounding up NWTI students who will take part in the contest for pictures and will report their progress back to everyone at the end of next week. Here's some of our first "ATTEMPTS" from this morning. But after everyone UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT, we got great photos and will share those this week along with names.

On Friday, March 20th, fire departments throughout NW Arkansas are here at NWTI's Ammonia Refrigeration facility for regional HAZMAT training. Springdale Fire Department Training Battalion Chief - Patrick Lee, oversees much of this training supported by NWTI Ammonia Refrigeration instructor Jeremy Sherman. Instructor Mike Klutts was also on hand. Student Kai Aguirre-Conduff, with direction from Ty Wood, department lead and instructor, are taking apart, diagnosing, and rebuilding a soldering machine.
