Modern Trail Education is a 32 hour entry-level training designed to guide local workforce into the rapidly growing field of outdoor recreation through trail construction and maintenance. The training is accomplished through lectures and field labs with leading industry experts. Students begin learning the history of mobility, logistics, environmental approaches, responsible resource utilization and safety.
Appropriate equipment use and maintenance is stressed throughout. Emphasis is placed on ethical practices to enhance the students’ ability to contribute to construction and development as safely and responsibly as possible. Certification in Wilderness First Aid is a crucial component of this training. CLASSES STARTING IN JUNE!
