CONSTITUTION DAY 2024. We celebrated and commemorated the day here at NWTI over the students' lunch break. What is Constitution Day you say?
Constitution Day is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is normally observed on September 17, the day in 1787 that delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia.

We're coming up on some of the last days in our Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Program for this group of students.
Instructor Lonnie O'Bryant likes to have a few class pictures snapped from time to time, and this morning was one of those times!

Recently, James Peterson with Advanced Technologies Consultants, demonstrated a Universal Robots scale model interactive training cobot, to our Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Ammonia Refrigeration and IT/IS students.
Students were given an opportunity to interact with, program and control the cobot and modular peripheral equipment to simulate multiple real world industrial applications. All of our program instructors attended with their students.
So what is a cobot? It's a collaborative robot. It's a robot that is designed to work safely alongside humans in a shared workspace. Cobots are often used to perform repetitive tasks, freeing up humans to focus on more important work.
